Registration
Students can complete registration on the Hamilton First Aid website. There is a registration form you can use to sign up after choosing the class and schedule that you want. Other ways to sign up for a program are e-mails, telephone calls, and walk-ins. Any requests send through e-mails and the registration form will be attended to during business hours. Likewise, walk-ins and telephone calls should be made during business hours as well.
Training fees

Overview on training
Basic first aid
The basic standard first aid program is 18 hours long and offered multiple times per week. Classes are even available during evenings and weekends. The core curriculum of the program focuses primarily on skill building and strengthening. Topics such as the emergency medical services (EMS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), wound management, spinal injury care, internal and external bleeding and various other emergencies.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
CPR-only classes are also available, with three different categories. CPR A is for first time trainees who want to learn CPR for adult victims. Likewise, CPR C is for CPR for adult, child and pediatric victims. HPR HCP is for health care providers who want to learn adult, child and pediatric CPR in the health care facility setting. Courses range in length from 4 to 6 hours and cost approximately 48 dollars (taxes included).
Private First Aid and CPR Courses
Students have the option of signing up for a private class. These are usually taken by big groups of trainees like companies and schools. Private instructors are also available for training at home or for events like seminars. Different instructors have different rates; you can find them on the website.
Certification and Renewal
Certificate cards are awarded to all students that successfully complete the one or two-day course. These awards meet Ontario WSIB requirements for workplace first aid. Complete attendance, good demonstration of skills, and at least 75 percent on the written exam are required for participants to complete the program. The official certificate comes in a wallet sized format, however, upon request, participants may also receive a letter sized certificate that holds no certification value. All workplace approved first aid and / or CPR certificates expire after three years. While the award is current participants may be able to attend re-certification courses.
Recertification for first aid and CPR is available at least twice a week. Standard first aid recertification is 8 hours long and CPR C or HCP recertification is included in the course. Check the prerequisites prior to attending.

Arthritis
While arthritis is usually caused by the normal wear and tear as our body ages, chronic inflammation of the joints can also have pathologic causes.
