Bloating is a condition where your stomach feels full as if it’s stretched, puffy and uncomfortable. A lot of reasons can cause this condition but the common cause is a buildup of gas inside the stomach. Other reasons to cause bloating include constipation, swallowing air, excess wind, Celiac disease, food intolerance, and irritable bowel syndrome. Stomach bloating can be very uncomfortable and even embarrassing when in public. Stomach bloating can also be a sign of a serious underlying medical condition as it is a common symptom of Candidiasis.

Foods that are known to cause excess wind in the stomach:

  • Exercising helps your digestive system do better since it can fight constipation, maintain the circulation in your body, effectively removing toxins from your body.
  • Drink enough water. To make sure fiber can aid with digestion, you should drink plenty of water to beat bloating. There’s no specific number that is going to be the right amount for you but start by drinking at least six to eight glasses a day. Avoid carbonated drinks since they include artificial sweeteners which can cause bloating or make it worse. Alcohol can also result to bloat as well as caffeinated drinks.
  • Reduce stress. Stress causes your body to be confused, and your stomach and brain cannot communicate effectively. The brain is responsible for telling a part of your nervous system called the enteric nervous system to generate enzymes, saliva as well as secretions to aid with digestion, along with hormones produced that is responsible for your appetite.
