Calgary First Aid proudly offers emergency first aid courses. This Alberta OH&S approved course, also referred to as basic first aid, includes CPR level “C”, however the CPR training and certification can be upgraded to Basic Life Support (BLS). \ Automated external defibrillator (AED) training comes standard with the course. Different types of Emergency First Aid Courses & Prices:
- Emergency / Basic first aid co-delivered with CPR level “C” – This is a 8 hour course that costs 94.99 (all fees/taxes included)
- Emergency / Basic first aid with CPR level “C” with the co-pairing of CPR “HCP” – This is a 8.5 hour course that costs 104.99 (all fees/taxes included)
Course Content:
The following is a general outline of the first aid situations that candidates will learn to recognize and treat in a OH&S approved basic first aid and CPR course:
- Unconscious breathing or non-breathing victims.
- Obstructed airway (choking) for conscious and unconscious victims.
- Respiratory emergencies such as asthma, hyperventilation and anaphylaxis.
- Circulatory emergencies such as heart attacks, angina, T.I.A’s, and strokes.
- Deadly Bleeding.
- Broken bones and fractures.
Workplace Certification:
To successfully complete the course candidates need pass a skills component and a multiple choice test. A minimum grade of 70% is required to pass the course. Upon successful completion of the course candidates will receive a emergency / basic first aid and CPR certificate that is valid for 3 years. Candidates will also be certified in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED’s).

No Pressure:
At Calgary First Aid we understand the people learn at different speeds and through a variety of different methods. If you do not complete the course the first time your are eligible to re-take the course at no extra cost.
Refunds or Cancellations:
We do not process any emergency first aid course refunds or cancellations within 72 hours of the course. Transfers requested within 72 hours of the course will be charged $25.00 (taxes included). Prior to 72 hours candidates can receive a full refund or transfer to another course.
