Child Care First Aid

Child Care first aid is a course taught exclusively by St Mark James. The course can be offered in two different formats ranging in length from a 8 to 10 hour course to a 16 to 18 hour course. The level of CPR training included in the course is standard for both courses and can not be opted for any other level.

Different types of Child Care Courses

CPR Training for intants victims
Participants enrolled in childcare first aid will receive CPR level “B” training which involves CPR Training for intants victims

Emergency Child Care First Aid – this course is a intensive 8 to 10 hour course that includes CPR and automated external defibrillator training. CPR “B” comes standard with this course. This is the only first aid and CPR course that includes CPR “B” training. Course curriculum is similar to that of a 16 hour standard first aid course.

Standard Child Care First Aid – this course is less intensive that the emergency child care first aid course. Standard  child care first aid includes CPR level “B” and AED training. Course curriculum is 90% identical to a basic standard first aid course.

  • Youth and child care givers
  • Preschool Teachers

Anybody is eligible to take the course as long as they meet the prerequisites. Candidates do not have to meet the criteria of the list above.

Cost of Course

The cost of the course varies on which of the two courses candidates select and the amount the provider charges. Fee’s range from 75 dollars to 165 dollars.
